Hey we are brand new at all this.. still in the us vs insurance war.. Curious as to what other's experience with this has been. What we are looking at money wise (monthly or whatever).

Age is a huge factor is how agressive you start out as it is strongly correlated to fertility and can be told w/o a test. This varies ALOT, but generally most doctors will start women in 20s or early 30s with unmedicted IUIs, which usually does the trick in 2-4 cycles. Women in their later thirties often start with a mild ovulation inducer such as Clomid and maybe a trigger shot. Again you are looking at 2-4 cycles to know if it is "working" or not. Doctors are all over the map with women in their fourties from try a few medicated or unmedicated IUIs and see what happens to starting with IVF to excluding them from their programs to keep their stats up.
