How many IUIs tried?

I've done 2 cycles of IUIs, 2 each cycle. I am starting to get discouraged. I have not been testing for infertility yet, I am 29. I am thinking its time to go to an RE instead of my normal gyno doc. Any suggestions, what have others done?

I highly suggest you use a fertility doctor. You are spending so much time, money and emotional effort. Get the pre- testing done making sure there are no issues Iraq blockages. Otherwise your IUI's could be all for a loss. Tracking your cycle using bloodwork and ultrasounds will give you the best chances.

It's a trying process. Stay strong and hopeful.

We lucked out after our second IUI and are currently 9 reeks along.

I've done 3, my partner 1. Prior to that I did 4 attempts with a known donor. My partner is 5 years younger (I'm at the upper end of all the fertility charts) so we think we're going to continue trying with her. For me, we're trying to figure out the funding for IVF. But yes, it's frustrating. I feel one of the hardest things is not feeling taken advantage of during a very vulnerable time. Best of luck to you.
