Allergy testing

I'm only a basic member now, so I'm not sure if this information is available in the advanced profile. Do you test for pet allergies? We have a dog and 2 cats we love dearly and we'd hate to risk having a baby with an allergy to them! :)

Hi Erin -

On page 5 of the Extended Profile, there is a section where the donor self-reports allergies.(You can purchase Extended Profiles for individual donors ala carte, or view all Extended Profiles with a Level 2 or Level 3 subscription.)

We don't test donors for pet allergies, but if you'd like to discuss allergy heritability with one of our genetic counselors, please contact our Genetics Department at 877-743-6384.
