rewashing IUI sperm/ DC area docs?

We're with Shady Grove now, but are kind of annoyed with their policy of rewashing IUI-ready specimens--my understanding is this is bad for the sperm and unnecessary. Our favorite donors don't have ICI specimens, which is what Shady Grove and CA Cyrobank recommend if the clinic is insisting on washing prior to an IUI. It sounds like buying IUI-ready sperm and not washing it again would be the best course of action.
If anyone has experience trying with rewashed IUI sperm or IUIs with ICI sperm that was washed after thawing, what was your experience? How many cycles did you do? One or two inseminations per cycle? Did is work for you?
If your doctor is in the DC area, who did you work with and what was your experience?
Thanks!
