Pregnant with donor 13676!

It's early (I just had my beta test today), but I am currently pregnant with donor 13676.

Just wanted to see if anyone else is using 13676 and possibly also pregnant.

Thanks!

  • Omg Kate, congrats. It stuck wow that's awesome. When did you find? How many follies did you have? Again congrats.

  • And you were worried about your AMH. Kate, did you have any symptoms, or even crampy Pms symptoms, did you have any? Just wang to be prepared. Did you use meds? Please let me know
  • Thank you Gina!

I found out officially today with the beta test but I did get a positive on the home pregnancy test yesterday but I wanted to be sure.

    I only had one follicle.

And I asked my doctor about the AMH level and she said that it is a good indicator of quantity of eggs but not necessarily of quality. So you can have a low AMH and still get pregnant b/c even though the number of eggs is low, the few that you have could be of great quality. So she said not to panic about a low AMH.

I did use meds. I did Clomid 50 mg (days 5-9) and then an Ovidrel shot the day before the inseminations. And I did 2 consecutive inseminations.

I didn't do acupuncture but I did get a massage the night before this 3rd cycle and I do think it relaxed me a lot.

But mostly, I think switching the donors was the best idea. My original donor had a low sperm count after thawing so that made it difficult.

    Anyway, I hope this helps!!!

Sending you lots of baby dust!

  • I wish I could hug you! Soo happy for you
  • Did u feel anything though?
  • Just saw your post! Congratulations Kate! I am still in my 2ww. I hope I have the same luck with this donor.
  • Thank you Sweety!
    I honestly didn't feel anything.
Now I have slight twingy cramps but that's it. I'm also more tired than usual.

And xfile951, I hope you have the same luck too.
It would be really cool to be pregnant from the same donor at the same time.

    Keep me posted.

    Baby dust for you both!!!

    Kate
  • Kate how's it going? who was your original donor if you don't mind? so that I dont choose him if necessary. when is your ultrasound?

    Gina
  • I just noticed that you had only one follicle. wow, thats great. gives me hope, because I dont produce many follies.
  • Congratulations Kate. Have a H&H 9 months :)
  • Hi Sweety,

My original donor was 12874. Out of the 5 vials that I used, 3 of them had under 15 million motile sperm after thawing. I am trying to get a refund but it is not easy. Not to mention all the money that I spent on shipping and then the lab work on my end.

And yes, I only had one follicle so it can happen with one follicle. Actually it's better b/c then you know that you can't have twins. Well, fraternal twins at least.

    And thank you a_walton!

    I hope it stays H and H!!!

Praying for baby dust and healthy pregnancies for everyone!

  • Hey Nicole,

    Any news yet?!?!

I hope that you get a BFP with 13676. It would be great to be on this journey together with the same donor.

And I think this is your first IUI so remember if it doesn't work it usually takes 3-4 tries. It happened on my 3rd try but only I believe because I switched to 13676.

    Keep me posted!

Praying for baby dust for you!

  • Hey Kate,

Well it's a BFN. A little disappointing to say the least but I am going to keep positive and continue down this journey. I had an hsg and everything was working well. I guess I haven't had the combo. Last night I was searching all different methods to increase fertility including wearning socks all of the time, cutting out dairy, cutting out sugar, etc. I wish there was a sure fire method but if there were I don't think the journey and the final success of holding our children would be such a reward....but if you have any pointers :) !!!! Let me know. His count was great and I guess I am going start another round once I start this week. Talk with you soon.

  • Hi Nicole,

I'm sorry to hear about you BFN but keep your hopes up. It took me 3 tries and it only worked on the 3rd try because I switched donors. And 13676 has great numbers.

My only advice would be to stay strong and know that it will happen. Also, I did get a massage the evening before the inseminations and I think that helped.

Truthfully, we can try and control the process as much as possible but at some point, it is out of our hands. We just have to trust that it will work.

    Anyway, I hope this helps.

Please keep me posted. I would love us to be pregnant with 13676 together!

    Prayers and baby dust!!!

  • Kate,

how have you been? how's the baby? Keep in touch

    Gina
  • Hi Gina,

I'm okay. I had my first bout of morning sickness last week and it was not fun. It has also been a bit of an emotional roller coaster.

I didn't realize how much pregnancy affects your hormones.

But ultimately I am happy that it worked. I had my first ultrasound last Friday and I got to see the baby and hear the heartbeat. That was amazing.

So I am trying to focus on the bright side!

    How are you doing?

    Kate
  • Yes, focuse on the bright side, you are going to become a mommy. Thats awesome, i wish im in your shoes soon. Hope you have a healthy happy pregnancy. Please keep in touch!!

    Gina
  • Oh' as far as me. Well, you know my first iui was a bfn, I only had one follicle :(( my AMH is only .73 and I'm 36 . So, I'm not producing many eggs. First cycle of clomid with menopur did not work. Clomid did not work at all. I produced only 2 antral follicles on each side, 4 total. This cycle he put me on high dose of menopur and bravelle injectiion. So we will see how it goes, crossing my fingers!!! Your AMH was low as well, right. How many follies did you produce? Sorry, i forgot.

    Gina
  • Kate,

Did yiu have iui's back to back? Maybe i should do this for this cycle.

    Gina
  • Hey Kate, well 2nd iui was a bfn. I didn't feel any symptoms at all so had a feeling. I decided to take the holiday season off and try again in the new year. I hope your pregnancy is going smoothly and without any complications.

    Nicole
  • Hi,

We are thinking about switching donors 2 iui have ended in BFN. Was just wanting to know what the counts are like for this donor?

    Thanks
    K&A
  • Post wash both samples were over 20.5 mil. He definitely has great numbers. Good luck to you
  • Hey Nicole,

I'm sorry that it didn't work the second time around. I still really think that this is a strong donor. His counts were great for me too.

If you try him again, let me know.

I would love to know if my baby girl has any half siblings. Oh and yes, it's a girl. I don't know if I posted this already . . . I haven't been on the bulletin boards that much.

And akw0117, I highly recommend this donor. I switched to him after 2 IUIs ended in BFN and it worked on the first try with 13676.

Keep me posted if you use this donor and it works!

    Best to all,
    Kate
  • Hi Kate,

My name is Monica. Congratulations on your pregnancy with donor 13676. Hope you had a beautiful healthy baby. :) I used donor 12895 and had 2 miscarriages :( My OBGYN suggested I change donors. Im looking to use donor 13676 or donor 13699. Would you be willing to share a picture of your baby with me? I would love to see what your baby with donor 13676 looks like. I like the donors height and that he is blood type A+ like me. :) My email address is msalcedo5@yahoo.com. You can find me on FB too if you would like to first see who I am.
Take care, Hope all is well.
    Thank you,
    Monica Salcedo.
  • Hi Monica,

    Thank you!

I will share a photo of my baby with you when she is born. I still have 2 weeks until my due date.

I liked his height and apparent good looks as well.

    I will keep you posted!

  • Hi! I also became pregnant (and had a baby girl!) with Donor 13676. At the time, my husband & I had to take out a small loan in order to buy just 4 vials in hopes of getting pregnant. We were advised to purchase more, but we literally could not afford more financially. We long to give our baby girl a sibling & unfortunately now, there are no longer available vials by this donor. I admit, it broke my heart a little. I know this is completely random & a long shot, but would you happen to have extra vials available from this donor that you aren't planning to use? Again, I know this is random...but I am just hoping that somehow there is a possibility of being able to conceive by the same donor one more time. Any response would be appreciated. My personal email is mariah2180@aol.com
    Thank you :)
