ICI/IUI & number of vials for IVF

Hi, any advice as to which type and how many vials I should purchase for one IVF cycle? They will be washed regardless at the clinic, hence the question. Is there a better chance of fertilized embryos with IUI vials or are they both good as it is with IVF. My last IVF cycle resulted in 28 good eggs. Thanks.

Hi Tin -

You will only need 1-2 vials for an IVF cycle. One should do it for the actual fertilization, but most physicians like to have a back-up vial on hand since so much else is invested in the cycle.

Your doctor will wash any vial for the IVF, so ICI vs IUI is irrelevant. If ICI is available on the donor you choose it is a little less expensive, so that's what I would recommend.
