IUI vs ICI for at home use

I'm planing on doing my AI at home. Doctor is signing papers today. CCB recommends ICI for use at home. What happens to me if I place it too far and it gets deposited into my uterus instead of cervix? Will it cause cramping and other issues? Should I purchase IUI just in case to prevent issues?
The only "devices" I can find online to carryout the procedure are quite long and therefore I'm concerned about ICI accidently being deposited in the uterus.
I wish CCB sold the home delivery kit.

For doing a home insemination, you should talk to your physician about what type of device to get. I would ask your physician about obtaining a needless syringe for a vaginal insemination. It sounds like you were looking at catheters which should only be used by a medical professional to do an IUI.

You can go to Target and ask the pharmacist for an oral syringe and they'll give you one for free.
My wife and I ordered a 10 pack of 1ml syringes off of Amazon to use (hopefully we won't need them all).
They were sealed (the individual syringes and the box) and were cheap at less than $4 for the box. An added bonus was that the plunger in the syringe extends into the tip so that none of the sample is lost.
Hope this helps and good luck!!
