HSG Test

Hey Girls,
I have my HSG test tomorrow. Is it painful?
Any tips for me? I'm supposed to take my sister's kids to the skating rink that evening. Do you think I'll be up for that? My appointment is a twelve.

    The worst part for me was that they use the super-ginormous speculum. If that's not a problem for you, odds are the rest won't be too bad. I didn't have any significant cramping or anything, but I know some people do. Take an ibuprofen an hour beforehand.

    I had just finished a round of Clomid at 100mg when I had my HSG, and the Clomid was kicking my butt so hard I wouldn't have been up for anything after the HSG. But the HSG itself wouldn't have kept me from doing something active later in the day.

    Good luck! My HSG-cycle baby is now a 5yo, snoring away in her own bed!

    The HSG is a piece of cake!! It lasts about 3 minutes and feels just like a pap smear. You'll have no problem going skating later.

    I completed by HSG test and was still able to do the skate thing. I was told that my tubes are clear and my uterus is the normal shape. Good news!
