  • Hi htang -

All donor medical information is reviewed by our genetics department and medical directors. Each donor applicant does at least one interview with a gentic counselor to review his family medical history. These interviews go into great detail and require the applicant to answer all questions. Follow-up interviews are often necessary if an applicant is not clear on the details of the family medical history.

There is no advantage for an applicant to "misrepresent" himself. Our gentic counselors are trained and very experienced at conducting these interviews and quite good at identifying any inconsistencies or concerns that may burried in the given information.

Most importantly, the extensive genetic and medical testing we do is not subject to misrepresentation.

I hope this clarifies things for you.
