IUI Sperm

Hey Does anyone know how long the avg IUI sperm survive? I am doing my first IUI next Friday and wanted to triple check that I wont be too early! Oh yeah, and the IUI should be done within how much time of the LH surge from the digital OPK?

My doctor has me go in the day AFTER my first smiley face (LH surge). She said that once you start the surge, it still takes time for the egg to come down the tube. I believe that the IUI sperm live maybe 12+ hours, so by waiting for the second day helps the egg to be right where it should for a successful try.

I believe they live 12-24 hours. We test for our smiley face around 9 am and once we get it we do the IUI 24 hours later. Took on the second unmedicated try. Good luck!
