finaces and being single?

How do all you single moms out there afford your children? My sister gave her opinion about using a sperm donor alone and now im nervous about money.:(

I waited until I was settled into my career and bought a house. I have some concern if I get laid off, but I was laid off 2 years ago and found a job before my last day, so I'm not too worried.

I also have family nearby who will help me out if anything changed financially for the worse. But being financially stable and fit was a priority of mine before I even considered trying to conceive.
