1st IUI Yesterday...

This is only the 1st day of my 2WW and I am already wishing the time away. Anyone else on the same time frame? Any tips to make the time fly by?

  • Myself and a few others have a thread going called "tww starting today..." I had my first iui on Mother's day so I'm currently 3dpiui. As far as tips I've come up with nothing! lol Spent the first 3 days obsessing over every little twitch and now I've moved on to trying to ignore them altogether. You're free to join us in the other thread and share in the wait =)
  • Hi KBT,

I'm 6dpiui. It's been a brutal few days-- not a second goes by without analyzing everything. Today, however, I am feeling a little better. I had no idea that the wait would be this agonizing. Sending you strength and patience!
  • KenzieArizona- This wait is killing me! I go next Tuesday for my blood test. Is today the day you find out??? Hopefully you got a +!!!!
  • Today is Day 13. I took a home test and got a negative. Boo! Still keeping fingers crossed for the weekend, but given a total lack of symptoms, I'm not terribly optimistic.

How are you faring? The second week of the wait has been easier for some reason. Thank goodness-- I was going out of my head!
  • I went to the MD yesterday for my blood test... Negative. I had taken two tests at home, both negative. It hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday. I was sad and disappointed and emotionally distraught. Today, I woke up and decided it was a new day. We are going to try again, hopefully this month.

How about you? Any news yet?
  • Damn. I'm sorry about the negative. I'm in the same boat. Day 18 and another negative home test with no period. Heading in for the blood work later this morning just to have closure.

I'm forcing myself to remain positive. After all, it was only the first try. That said, I'm 38 and nervous that we waited too long... Really hoping to avoid IVF, if at all possible.

Hang in there. It *is* a new day. Let's keep in touch. I'm thrilled reading about all the positive tests on this board. It's also nice to have a kindred spirit out there.
