Nervous: a few weeks to first try

Hiya, I'm 32 and on the advice of my doc, took a round of clomid for a dry run last month. The pee sticks say I ovulated, my cycle was a nice normal 31 days long... and tomorrow I start on the clomid again. (I do have PCOS, but don't know how bad the infertility is since I've been no BCP most of my adult life.)
I'm... nervous. I haven't picked a donor for sure, but I have some favorites. And I'll call the doc and the bank tomorrow to get details on timing it all to my next LH surge.
The naysayers get me down a bit, but my mother and sister are supportive. My traditional middle eastern dad is not so accepting, but I think I'll just tell him that I'm not sure why God gave him this challenge, but why question his will eh?
I also looked up the cost of a baby online and it looks like ~$12K/year1 with the level of childcare I require, and that's not nearly as horrible as people make it out to be. Now that I quit grad school (no babies allowed for scientist women!) and have a real job, I also have a decent income that could offset that cost.
It'd be perfect if it worked the first time. I don't know how common that is, but wish me luck. Getting pregnant in September would mean the baby would be born soon into summer break, perfect for a teacher.
I wish I'd met Mr. Right... and if I do, I'd love to have more kids, but it's time to make my firstborn already.
Scared, but determined, but scared, but looking forward to my little monkey in my arms.

I love your story. I am going at it alone and hoping it takes on the first try.

I'm imagining people at work asking. And my telling them it was a 19 y/o frat boy... Hah!
Ovulation expected on tuesday :)
Mom told me her good friend approves of my plan. Nice.

Both great numbers after the sperm was washed.
