Hello everyone!
My partner and I have been "donor searching" for almost a year now. We finally found one that fits. Seems like this donor is very similar to my partner (including blood type). I am curious if anyone has any success stories from this donor. Also, since we have never had children nor started this process, which kind of doctor do I see? Would we see a specialized doctor or and OBGYN?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, we are planning insemination around Christmas.
Thank you,
KL

I just had my first IUI with 11741 on 5/10/11. I was on 100mg of clomid for 5 days and had to take an HCG shot 6 days later because 2 of my eggs were already 23mm but I was not near ovulating. The IUI was done the next day. My partner and I are trying to wait patiently on the results. I go in on 5/24 for the blood preg test. This is our first time trying to get pregnant - so we might just cheat and use an OTC test.
My Update:
My progesterone lab results for 5/17/11 - 7 days post IUI were 39 mlU/ml. I was crossing my fingers for 15 or above and now it's way high. YAY! My partner is excited, she may just get her wish for twins. We have the blood pregnancy test coming up on 5/24/11. We can't wait!
We still need to start our process. First I need to find a good physician in phoenix. Lord help me :-)
:)
JK - I suggest go to a gyno you trust, they may offer infertility services like mine does. It is a process of meetings, check ups (mine included a laparoscopic surgery in 2010 to make sure everything was ok. Turns out I have endometriosis and had a septated uterus). Once they clear you, you are free to choose whenever you want to inseminate.
I started a new round of Clomid today. We have decided to do a double insemination this time to improve our chances.
Alicia, Congratulations on your daughter! Did it happen on your first try? Were you able to get 11741's child pictures from someone?
Best luck n wishes for the two of you.
and yes it happened on the first try. we didn't get the child pictures from anyone except the clinic - we actually purchased his baby picture and it just so happened that the he opted to provide additional pictures up to about age 9 or 10. So we had a total of 4 pictures.

We also went with Donor 11741 but I only have 2 of his pictures? AliciaCherie if you have the other two and wouldn't mind sharing them my email is SuzannaC428@aol.com.
I can gladly compare notes with any of you since we ordered our vials on Nov. 1, 2011 -- he was released to order in late 2009, less than 5 pregancies reported, no changes or updates to medical information and the 2 pictures we have are adorable.
We're doing our first back to back IUI's this month -- one with my husbands "sample" and one with 11741's "sample" as we are only dealing with low-fair morphology and fair motility from my husband. Hoping that by combining the two we'll have great results this month!
