I know this might sound silly but... i have dark hair. the donor i chose has dark hair but he has family that has red hair (mom, aunt) what are the chances of my child having red hair?

with that info, your child could have any color hair. it you really want to know odds, i would look for an online calculator.

long story short, he is a carrier for red hair, so if you happen to be too, the baby will have a one in four shot at some variant on red. if you aren't a carrier, your child could have red highlights, but not red hair.

you could also call the genetics department at ccb or ask scott.

Thanks for the link. I decided I'm not going to worry about it. As long as I have a healthy baby, that's most important.
