Just wondering the process of screening for infectious diseases with the sperm donors. What Is the guarantee that the sperm is free from all kinds of SCD's like HIV, hep c, and hep b etc.

  • Hi S -

You'll find info and a video on our screening process here: https://www.cryobank.com/How-It-Works/Donor-Qualification/

An important part of the process to highlight is that after a donor provides a donation, all vials are frozen and quarantined for at least 6 months, so that subsequent infectious disease testing is done. The infectious disease testing is repeated at approximately 3 month intervals.

In regards to our infectious disease screening, we are accredited by the AATB (American Association of Tissue Banks), comply with all FDA regulations, and follow ASRM (American Society of Reproductive Medicine) guidelines. We are also inspected and certified by CLIA: http://cryobank.com/Why-Use-Us/Accreditations-and-Licenses/
