washed or unwashed?

is one better than the other for IVI? do you recommend inseminating once or twice per cycle?

I'm guessing that you mean IUI? For an IUI procedure, the specimen needs to be washed. You should check with your clinic to see which vial type they prefer. If your clinic is going to wash the specimen you should order ICI vials which are unwashed. If your clinic is not going to wash the vials, you should order IUI vials which are washed. We do not recommend re-washing IUI vials prior to insemination because it will affect the sperm count.

Timing is very important when doing IUIs. One insemination per cycle is enough, but some physicians do two to maximize their chance of hitting the ideal window. Some physicians will use ultrasounds or trigger shots to help with timing. You should discuss this with your physician.
