Can washed sperm make you sick? post-IUI problems

I know this sounds stupid (I'm aware), but I'm having too many strange symptoms and I don't want to rule out the possibility that sperm via an IUI has caused them.
I have never had sperm in my body until my first IUI last month. So two firsts for me in one month, the IUI and the sperm [in it's solution] exposure.
Is it possible that my body has reacted to the sperm or the solution it's in? I've has symptoms since the day after I had the IUI, first just cramping, but then 4 days later I threw up for the first time in like 20 years, and felt hot but had no fever. It's been around 13 days and I did try a pregnancy test, but it came back negative. My cycles are 29-30 days apart too. I just can't imagine the first IUI could have gotten me pregnant, particularly when the donor sample was only 8million - just over the cut off mark.
I've also had cramps every single day, and a swollen abdomen. I've had watery discharge that is clear and odorless, but just so much of it that it worried me. I've never had any of these symptoms before in my life; my ovulation has never given me cramps or sickness of any kind before, and my cramps always start AFTER my period, usually a few hours later.
I'm 33 and have no fertility problems after some testing, and I took no fertility medication. I tried to ask my nurse from the RE but she misinterpreted my questions as worrying over being pregnant. I actually never expected this to work the first time, and I'm a little confused, and I have enough patience so I'm not fretting over pregnancy. Had I been trying for years, like some people, perhaps, but I'm more concerned with other possibilities. I do not believe I have an infection, either.
Mu conclusion is that the IUI was hard on my body and I am having long-lasting cramping and bloating from it, and it somehow caused my hormones to fluctuate. Does anyone know if that's possible?
