Anyone starting IUI cycle (day 1 = Today, September 10th) . . . .buddy up?

Hey,
Just wanted to see if anyone happens to be on my same IUI cycle. I am on day one (finally got my period) and I think my IUIs will probably be Tuesday, September 24th and Wednesday, September 25th if the timing is the same as my first 2 IUIs (usually day 15 and day 16 of my cycle).
It would be good to have a buddy. Not sure Liz if you are trying again.
This is my 3rd IUI and probably my last for a year if it doesn't work. Then I will meet with my doctor and come up with a game plan. Maybe IVF next year if I have the money. And possibly with a different donor though I really like this one's profile.
But hopefully this time it will stick. They say 3rd time's a charm.
Anyway, let me know if anyone is just starting their cycle.

I'm just taking Clomid 50 mg starting on cd3 for
5 days. And then I get an ovidrel shot the day before
the 1st IUI.
I had my ultrasound today which was a bit early
(Cd1) just to check for cysts so I can get on clomid.
All looked good. Just a few follicles on my right
but again, I went in a little too soon.
Last time I ended up with 2 big follicles on my
left.
How about you?
Baby dust,
Kate
I had my first ultrasound on cd3, and the doc said i have 2 follies on each side so total of four. He kind of scared me and "your ovaries are very small, i dont see a lot of activity", due to my diminshed ovarian reserve. My AMH is 0.73.
That freaked me out, but maybe it was just cd3 and too soon to see good follies. Anyway, he out me on clomid 3 to 7 days and menopur injections 3 to 7 days. And boy, do I have vaginal dryness. Also how many follies did you have again on cd1?
I go for my e2 second ultrasound this friday, so im praying.
What is your Amh? If you dont mind and how old are you? I just turned 36
Gina
Hope this is your cycle! Sending you lots of lucky baby dust! Let me know your results!
I am taking this month and possibly next month off since I have to wait for my donor to come in the first week of October. I have decided to switch donors too! I had originally picked two and my top choice sold out before I placed my order so, luckily he is coming back in and I am going to use him this time! Looking at October or November. If not then I have to wait until next year since my RE closes the lab from December to January.
My two big follicles were on my left last time too!
Sending you my prayers and baby dust!
Liz
I had to look up my AMH but it is 1.5. My doctor said that that is normal and that I have a good ovarian reserve. That figure was taken about a year ago. And I am 36 years old. I will probably have that blood test re-done if the 3rd IUI doesn't work.
I'm not sure how many follicles I had on cd1. I just know that I had a few. Again, I think it was really too early to tell. Usually I end up having one more ultrasound before the IUIs so I can find out then how many are mature.
I wish you the best of luck! I am just a few days behind you I guess.
And Liz, that is so strange that we both had 2 big follicles on the left side. And that we got our period after the IUIs on our second try. We really are in sync!
I decided to stick with my donor b/c I already paid for 2 vials and I really liked his profile. Not to mention that I really can't spend more money at this time.
Anyway, keep me posted on your progress as well.
I hope that we both get pregnant soon!!!
Baby dust for us all,
Kate
I went in for e2 today, which is cd10 for me, and I have 1 follie on right at 9 mm and 2 follies on left at 5 mm. Not sure hat to think. How are you doing any ultrasounds for you
It sounds like they just need a little more time to grow. My follicles usually arent't ready until cd15 or cd16 or later.
I'm doing well . . . . just really hoping it sticks this time. During the 2ww I usually feel so pregnant I think b/c of the clomid. I get really bloated and have that distended stomach for weeks.
I usually end up with 1 more ultrasound the day before the IUI. It all depends on when the ovulation kit gives me a smiley face.
Keep me posted . . . you are on cd10 and I am on cd4 so I'm about a week behind you.

OMG, i just realized that today was cd7 for me, so quite early. Thanks for giving me reassurance, you are awesome. Fingers crossed for you!

When is your iui? Mind is on Saturday. Hope we get pregnant
I don't know when mine is yet b/c I haven't had my LH surge yet. I am only on day 10 and I usually get my surge on day 14 (Monday) which would mean that my IUIs would be Tuesday and Wednesday.
That's exciting that yours is on Saturday!
I hope we get pregnant too!!!!
Bowlngirl,
I hope that you are doing well during your 2ww!
I hope that it sticks for all of us this time.
Sending lots of baby dust,
Kate
I hope that this cycle works for you! I was reading one of your last posts and I felt the same way on the clomid! the first time on clomid I would have bet money I was preggers. I could smell anything from a mile away and my belly was so distended people asked if I was.
Did you by chance have horrible cramping at all after this last round? On Tuesday I started having terrible cramping worse then my regular monthly.
Did you try acupuncture this time?
Sending you lots of babydust!
Liz
I had horrible cramping too after this last round. I swear we have the same body . . . it's bizarre (and we both had 2 follicles on our left side).
I didn't try acupuncture this time but I think that I am going to get a massage the night before (or the night in between). I find that really relaxing and I don't think it can hurt a pregnancy that soon.
And I did choose a different donor this time. I discovered (after the fact) that for my first round of IUIs the motile sperm was below 15 million pre-wash. So I am working on getting credit for those vials. Of course, I can't get the money spent on the lab-work back for that.
A little disappointing but what can you do.
Anyway, I am hoping that this donor is the right one and that it works this time!
Let me know when you start up again!
Best,
Kate
That is bizarre that we have the same bodies!
I love a good deep tissue massage but, the acupuncture really did help with relaxation. It freaked me out at first having needles all over my body but boy did it feel good afterwards. They also told me to make sure you keep your belly warm at all times and that helps.
that is horrible about the motility! I hope that you do get a credit back. Don't let it get you down though, stay positive that this donor will be better and this will be your time!
I am having trouble with an irregular period again so I hope to start again next month if not then it will probably be next year. :(
I have found that after this last IUI I have put on A LOT of weight.
What state are you in? How are you holding up with your 2ww?
Lots of luck
Liz
I'm doing alright.
I ended up having both of my IUIs yesterday. I know that sounds bizarre. I used my original donor for the first IUI and my doctor said that the sperm count was really low and that under the microscope there was "sperm clumping" which could mean some sort of antibodies. Anyway, this was my original donor who I had become somewhat attached to (I know that sounds strange). She recommended that I do my 2nd IUI that day with the new donor.
The new donor's stats were great in terms of numbers. Now if I get pregnant, I may not know which one it is until the baby is born. But chances are it would be the new donor.
But one day at a time. I have to be pregnant first!
Gina, how are you doing?
Liz, I may be with you on next year. If it doesn't work this time, I may do the 4th IUI (with 2 different donors because that is what I have left!). After that, I think it's IVF for next year. It's really hard doing this time after time and getting a BFN (especially when everything on my end is supposed to be looking great).
Anyway, keep me posted on what you end up doing.
Lots of luck for all of us!!!
Kate
You may not know which donor stuck if you get pregnant but I think you did the right thing by switching even in the same cycle.
Remember I said about the cramping? Well I had so much pressure last night I went to the ER. Turns out I was pregnant and it was an ectopic pregnancy that burst. Dr said if I try another IUI it will turn out the same way. I now have to do IVF if I want to keep a pregnancy. :( I think it could have been caught sooner if my dr checked me out after the cramping and spotting almost two weeks ago.
Luckily I listened to my mother last night and went to the er to get checked out.
Sending lots of baby dust and prayers to you!
Liz
Thank you! I think I am doing the right thing.
And if I have to do IUI #4, I still have 2 vials (one of the original and one of the new one).
I'm so sorry that you had an ectopic pregnancy. That is not fun. At least though now you know that you have to do IVF and won't waste any more time on IUIs. At this point, I almost wish I went right to IVF having spent so much money on vials and IUIs but I didn't know it would take this many tries. No regrets!
Let me know when you decide to do IVF . . . I may be doing it at the same time if it doesn't stick this or the next time!
Sending lots of prayers (and baby dust) to you too!!!
Kate
Kate,
When is your tww over? I feel the same about going to IVF. I will keep you up to date with my next try, I have to recover from this surgery first though. I am 34 and this was my first surgery, never knew how painful it was.
Keep me up to date with your results.
sending you prayers and baby dust
Liz
