Taking Pro-Gest (progesterone cream)

My acupuncturist recommended that I take progesterone, via Pro-Gest cream, following my IUI's, to help with implantation and then if pregnant, with keeping the baby.
I had my 2nd IUI earlier this week and just started using Pro-Gest today, so I'm a little late for this cycle. But I figured I'd give it a shot.
Anyone else trying this? I've heard ladies here talk about taking progesterone, so that would essentially be the same thing.
