Fetal Doppler monitor

Thought I'd share that we bought a fetal Doppler monitor for $60 and have been listening to our baby's heartbeat since week 11. It's the most amazing thing! We listen every night and there has been only one time that we couldn't find it. I recommend splurging- it such a fun way to really feel pregnant in this early stage!

Rshea, try it! My partner has a little extra weight on her and it hasn't been an issue.

We sure are hoping our kid cooperates on Tuesday and gives us a good shot of the "goods!" We'll let you know though.
C - did you add us on FB? It is so hard to remember who is who because everyones names are different everywhere!
I'm excited about the thought of it, but what I've read so far has only revealed 'risks' without a lot of specifics. Left handedness in boys apparently is common with these home machines with excessive or prolonged use. Other than that, I haven't found any details of said 'risks'. Having already had an early miscarriage, I'm understandibly leery of any risks that can be consciously avoided.
From what I understand so far (I'm doing more research on it) the machines cannot go to a higher frequency than what the FDA recommends for fetal monitoring. I'm just curious what kind of mh are on these products?
However, I would love a left handed boy! --- I am left handed!
Our doppler is also FDA approved.
