I am having a first medicated (clomid) IUI first week of October. I have over 10 vials of my donor purchased and in storage. My clinic wants at least 2 vials (to have a backup) but will accept up to 6.
IUI CAN work on the first try - and if I knew it would, I'd just ship 2. But in all likelihood it will take a few tries. Shipping is a few hundred dollars. So I'm deciding how many vials to ship. Should I be optimistic and ship just 2? Should I be economical and ship 4 or 5? Once the vials leave California Cryobank, they are less "returnable" :/
So what is the general recommendation for how many to ship? RIght now I'm thinking maybe 3. That should be good for 2 IUI tries. Assume the first will just take 1 and I'll still have the vial-and-a-spare for try number 2. But maybe I should ship more? I don't know!
How many vials is shipped on average for IUI.
