question about pickup

Hi,
I live close to the Palo Alto location and would like to pick up instead of ship my specimens. How would this affect my search in the database? Are there donors just in the Palo Alto location? If so, how do I view them?

Hi Lauren -

You have free reign to choose any donor you want. Regardless of where they are collected and processed, all donor vials are stored in our Los Angeles facility. For $75 you can ship your vials to store in Palo Alto for easy pick-up.

Just to clarify...

The $75 is a per order fee that covers all the vials you are transfering to Palo Alto. Transfered vials are still eligible for the Buy Back program.

Thanks Scott! So if I order 6 vials and have them shipped to PA for storage do I pay the $75 and the storage fee?

Hi -

Storage is free when you purchase 6 vials. Yes, you will pay the one-time transfer fee to move the vials to Palo Alto.
