soon to be divorced need some advice

hi ladies I can't believe I am at this stage but here I go. my husband and I got married a year ago and 2 months into our marriage we found out he has low sperm. we tried doing 4 iui's only to find out he is the problem. I checked out and gave no issues. Now I am supposed to start the ivf process and he doesn't. having a baby for me is the most important thing in my life and he knew this getting married. So Sunday I am filing for a divorce and want to start the process of using donor Sperm. I know some of my family will not be supportive but I guess I am just looking for some reassurance that I am making the right choice. I am just sick of a grown man disrespecting me and I guess turning 35 this year I just want to be a healthy and happy mommy. That being said should I start out with iui or ivf ?

Sorry for such a horrible situation, Sara. Better to make the decision before there is a little one there to be upset by a break up, right? I would try iui first if you know you have no issues, but that's just me, ivf is certainly more expensive but maybe you would achieve your baby faster that way. That being said, I would wait until you are divorced so that your husband can't change his mind and demand custody which he would likely get in some form or another if the baby is conceived while you guys are still married.
