Miscarriage with 11962

My partner and I recently miscarried at 10 weeks using donor 11962. It was determined that the baby had Turner Syndrome, 45X. This is a chromosomal abnormality that is typically a sporadic error; most often due to a missing piece of information from the sperm. We are interested to know if any others have experienced a loss from this donor, and if so, was the cause known?

I have had testing done (because this was my second loss, first was an early loss with no cause determined) and they have found no chromosomal, hormonal, structural, or immunological issues with me. I do understand that miscarriages are unfortunately very common, but before we move forward with our frozen embryos (also from this donor) I wanted to check to see if anyone else had experienced a Turner Syndrome loss from this donor.

Most likely this was just a random error but thought I'd check just in case there was a trend.

Best of luck to everyone.

  • I also had a miscarriage with 11962. I was 9 weeks and had the tissue tested. It came back as a a chromosome problem called Trisomy 13. From what I understand is that is a embryo developmental issue. I have had 4 IVF transfers with this donor and the 4th resulted in the miscarriage all others were not pregnant. My RE has advised picking a new donor, so I am going to try that. Good luck to all!
  • I just ordered this donor and I should be having my IUI in the next few days. I'm really worried now. Has anyone had successful pregnancies with this donor?
  • I also had a miscarriage at 8 weeks with this donor. Four tries total with one miscarriage and three no pregnancy. I am choosing another donor.
    Good luck to everyone!!
  • Has anyone had a full-term pregnancy with 11962??
