Has donor 12929 had any successful pregnancies? If so do you know how many births? Thank you.

  • Hi Cas -

Yes. For future reference, this information can be found on the Donor Profile page. 12929 has been available for a little under a year and has less than 5 pregnancies reported so far.

  • Do you know how many actual live births??
  • they don't usually give out that info nor do they give the number of males versus females. just < or > 5 or 0.
  • Hi Squirt -

It is too early for any reported births. You can check back in a couple of months.

  • I will have my third IUI this week using donor 12929. Unfortunately, I'm starting to get a bit discouraged and wondering if the donor has had any pregnancies that have resulted in live births since these posts. I have purchased four vials and thinking about changing donors if the last two do not work.

    Hope to hear from someone.

  • Hi K -

Donor 12929 now has 5 or more reported pregnancies. It's still a bit soon for reported births.

Please don't get discouraged. On average it takes about 3-4 IUIs to achieve pregnancy. If you are concerned about your chance of success, it is best to discuss this with your physician.

    Best of luck,

I used this donor this weekend and my np wasn't as impressed with this specimen after she looked under the microscope. She advised using another donor if this time doesn't work. But all it takes is one so I hope there is one strong swimmer in the group. Did you have any success?
  • Hi Highly & K -

Just an update, Donor 12929 has reported births in addition to 5 or more reported pregnancies.

Also, our specimen quality is something that we take very seriously, so if your medical professional encountered a vial that doesn't meet our guarantee, please have her complete a specimen report form so that we can look further into this.

And yes, it does just take one. Hopefully you'll have some good news to share with us soon!

    Best of luck,

    Nicole

  • My NP says that the sperm made it within range but should have been better. I will see about possibly getting definite numbers from her.

How long do we have to report to you all? Because if all goes well then it's all good.

  • Hi Highly -

Yes, it's best to wait until after your 2WW. We just ask that you send us the specimen report form within 90 days of when it was thawed.
