Donor with varicocelectomy surgery

Hi all,
I found a donor with varicocelectomy at age 16. All other signs seem good, but is this a problem? I'm surprised a cryobank would have sperm from someone with a surgery related to fertility issues. What are the risks here? Is there something I don't know about this? Should I still pursue this donor? Seems dubious...

  • threv... I googled this and it seems that it is varicose veins of the scrotum. It can cause infertility issues later in life. Always go with your gut. Talk to CCB. I had questions and I spoke to the Genetist, I was already pregnant with my son but still, I was concerned. They eased my concerns and I have a wonderfully healthy active 15 month old. I also know that my son has at least 3 1/2 siblings. It is a wonderful experience.
