How long does frozen sperm live once thawed and placed in the uterus?

    Studies have shown frozen sperm survives in the uterus up to 24 hours after insemination. Fresh sperm lasts 24-72 hours.

    I appreciate if you can provide me any references supporting that information.
    I just had an IUI about 48h prior to my ovulation predicted date - does this mean that there is absolutely no chances for me to get pregnant?

    I don't have the specific references at hand. My information is more of an "industry standard" position. I have heard of physicians who believe the surviuval time for frozen sperm can be longer.

    I don't know of any recent conclusive studies. If your physician is confident in the timing, I would trust him/her.

    I was wondering if you could please let me know how long a vile of sperm will last after it has been thawed and washed in a laboratory, ready for a IUI procedure?
