Advice on skipping IUI and going straight to IVF

Hello, I'm 34 y/o and currently ttc and want to figure out if I should skip IUI and do IVF instead only because of the feedback my friends who have gotten pregnant said IUI may not work the first attempt. My insurance covers both procedures. My friend and her partner got pregnant two years ago and had 2 failed IUI's and then tried IVF on the 3rd try and had a baby...two years later IUI worked the very first time when they had their 2nd baby. Any advice?

    If your insurance covers it do the IUIs first. IVF is hard on your body and also doesn't guarantee a live birth much more than a monitored, medicated IUI on a healthy woman.

    Thanks CarlaF! Just trying to figure out the best route to go as this will be my first time and not sure what the process is
