Hi,

First of all, congrats on your pregnancy! I'm so excited about it especially since I'm looking at the same donor. I am a bit freaked out and need to get over the fact that I could have a child with siblings all over the world. I'm looking at the long donor with medical history. Maybe I'm just being weird and maybe its because I've known about my and DH history for a while so it doesn't seem as surprising. I notice that there is a history of heart attack, stroke, lupus, MS, prostate and colon cancer. It's all so overwhelming. How did you get thru this. It's like I don't expect anyone to be perfect, but I'm scared. I figured I'd ask you because you wouldn't have proceeded if it was that big, just wondering how you got thru it? Between DH and I there is a history of heart attacks, colon cancer, and diabetes, but that's about it. I guess writing this I don't know enough about health. Can I do things to help my child not grow up and get some of these things?

Thanks for your response!
