I am considering using 12750, but his page says he has no reported pregnancies. He's not new... Are people just not buying him?

Donor 12750 has been available for less than 6 months and it does take some time for pregnancy reports to come in.
If you are new to this process, please note that whether or not we have received a pregnancy report has nothing to do with the donor's specimen quality and your chance of success.
All of our donors go through the same stringent screening process and less than 1% of applicants actually make it into our donor program.
This donor has a unique ethnic background which could be why he is not selling as quickly as other donors. Clients could be storing vials and not actually using them yet. And it's also possible that pregnancies have occurred, but just haven't been reported yet.
Also, our clients are of various ages and their inseminations can vary greatly from at-home ICIs, to IUIs, to using fertility drugs, to receiving ultrasounds, to doing IVF, to using donor eggs, etc. That's why it is important to thoroughly discuss your pregnancy plan with your physician to determine what is best for you.
Since the process of selecting a donor is very personal and unique, it is important that you choose a donor that is a good fit for you. You may also want to think about it from a child's perspective and how you would answer the potential question, "Why did you choose this person to be my donor?"
I hope this information helps and I wish you the best of luck with everything!

Nicole

Thank you!
I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. All of our vials are tested for quality, so something like this is a rare occurrence.
If you haven't done so already, please contact Melonee in Client Services and she can provide assistance if you have sub-standard vials.

I apologize for your experience. I have to say it is extremely rare. I would strongly suggest your physician speak with our lab director regarding thawing protocols. We ship the same specimens all over the world and see less than 2% sub-standard reports coming back.
If the sperm is not thawed long enough, it may appear to have low motility. The reality is that sperm continues to "wake up" for a period of time even after insemination. We have an extremely robust QC system that is designed to make sure the sperm is at its maximum efficiency after insemination. If you over-thaw sperm prior to insemination, the quality may appear better under the microscope, but you are actually destroying healthy sperm before they get the chance to swim.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Scott

I'm not sure if you have contacted Melonee in Client Services, but she will be able to assist you with this.
I'm sorry that you had this experience and as mentioned in the above posts, substandard vials are a rare occurrence because of our robust quality control system.
In other news, we have received a pregnancy report for this donor and his status has been updated on our website.
