Anyone have a negative beta test and have an ectopic pregnancy?

Hi, I had my last IUI on August 21 and had my beta test on 9/8/13, came back negative. AF came on 9/9/13, On 9/17/13 I had cramping and bleeding my RE said that it could be normal and not to worry. Friday I had massive cramping and pressure, went to the ER and found out I was pregnant but it was an ectopic pregnancy. I had to have emergency surgery and lost my left tube. The Dr. checked my right and found that if I try again that I will end up with another ectopic pregnancy and could possibly lose my other tube. However, I still can try IVF and should be able to carry without a problem.

Has anyone else had an experience like this before?

Should I look for a new RE since they did not follow up after I called with the cramping and bleeding?

Any thoughts or tips please share
