exchanging one donor for another

My partner and I have been watching a few donors and we have our #1 and #2 picked out. They are both currently sold out, but are expected to possibly be replenished on Aug. 7 and Aug. 20.

The problem is that our first choice is the latter date. We're worried that if we wait for Aug. 20 and there isn't a release, we might have also missed out on our second choice.

Is there anyway we can purchase and hold the Aug. 7 vials, but exchange them for the Aug. 20 vials if they are released at a minimal charge?

    We do offer a vial exchange program for vials that are purchased and stored at CCB.

    But another option would be to purchase the vials for the donor that has the estimated release date of August 7th and keep them on a 30-day hold. That gives you 30 days to ship the vials, move them to storage, change the order, or cancel the order for a full refund. That way, if your number one donor becomes available within that time frame you can easily call Client Services and change your order.
