Just how safe will I be?

How do I know for sure if the sperm I am going to use is safe. I am worried that some guy who is mad at the world because he has Hiv or AIDS will some get past the medical test and I will get his infected sperm. It would turn a dream into a nightmere.

    Unfortunately, that is a risk with the father of any child. A lot of women get STDs from a cheating spouse, so I think you are much safer with a sperm donor from a regulated source. That is one of the main reasons I accept a donation from a friend: no way to be sure of STDs even if he gets tested. It could take a while to show up on tests.
