Hi there--
I was wondering what information we can get about reported pregnancies and births??

Is is possible to get the following information:
1. # of reported pregnancies
2. # of reported births
3. # of reported miscarriages
4. sex of baby for reported births

Please let me know if any of this information is available for the donors.
Thank you!

  • Hi Aagema -

Here is the information that we can provide:

For reported pregnancies, we can let you know if the donor is in the range of less than 5 reported pregnancies or 5 or more reported pregnancies. We can also let you know yes/no for reported births.

If you are new to this process, please know that these numbers have no bearing on specimen quality or your chance of success. Donors that have had vials available for a longer period of time, or have very popular characteristics tend to accumulate reported pregnancies more quickly. Also, it takes longer for clients to report births, as many forget to do so.

The chances of having a boy or girl are pretty much 50/50 for any donor. If you have questions regarding chances of conception, miscarriage, etc., it's important to discuss this with your physician, as there are specific factors involved.

Also, if you have questions regarding a donor's genetic tests, family history, or even your own family history, please feel free to speak with one of our genetic counselors at 877-743-6384. They are happy to assist you, as you go through the donor selection process.

Lastly, if you are looking to connect with other women using the same donor, you can search on the bulletin boards by donor number and/or visit our Facebook page.

    Best of luck,

    Nicole
