Donor 12224

Hi! I am new to this process, have only just begun looking into it. I came across a donor that I really like, donor 12224. He is not coming up as "retired" but just today went from 21 down to 17 vials. I notice that most have over 25 it seems. Do you expect that there will be more? Thank you!

  • There better be more! He is a new donor and last we heard was still donating. So once these run out they will pull more from quarenteen to be sold!

We are due in 20 days with this donor!!!!! nmwartick@gmail.com if you want info.
  • Hi All -

12224 in no longer donating and currently has 17 vials available.

He does have another release coming up in late May, but there is never any guarantee that those vials will become available. It is always better to purchase while they are available if possible since many of our clients interested in having more than one child will purchase 10 or more vials at a time through our Family Tomorrow program.

Good luck Tommie! Hope you are getting some sleep while you can.

    Best,

    Scott
  • Yikes! Thank you for the head's up.
  • How many vials are in quarenteen still then? And at what point do you stop selling to people who haven't had a child?

In order to qualify for the family tomorrow program do you have to have a live birth from the donor? Or just pregnant by him?

Sigh, guess we need to get on the band wagon and buy more - we were planning on waiting.
  • Apparently I miss read what the family tomorrow thing is all about. So nix that question.
  • Hi Tommie-

Donor 12224 currently has only 5 vials available and the release date got pushed back to July. He has at least 25 vials in quarantine, but the number of vials that are released depends on how many of those vials meet the 6 month quarantine requirement at the time of his next blood draw.

Please keep in mind that future vial releases are not guaranteed and once vials are released they are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. So, it's best to purchase vials now if possible to secure them for the future.

    Best of luck with everything!

    Regards,
    Nicole
