Looking for advice

Hi, I'm new here. I'll be seeing a fertility specialist for my first appointment soon and was wondering if there are any tips or advice any of you ladies have as far as what I should ask. Also do I take a form for him to fill out so that I can place orders here? Thanks for any help you can provide!

My doc gave me a release form and I faxed it right to ccb and I was all set to order vials and have them shipped. YOu can place orders, but they wont be shipped without the release form. Make sure you know what kind of vials your doc wants you to purchase. Mine uses IUI only.

I would go ahead and print it and take it with you just in case. My Dr had one the first time I went in there, but the second time when I was ready for it, he was out. Here is the CCB link to the forms you'll need just in case. Good luck to you!

You might want to ask about doing some fertility testing up front, just so you know what you're dealing with. I opted (and my RE agreed) for the much less painful and invasive saline ultrasound, but there's also the hysterosalpingogram or hsg. Short of that, your doctor will likely want to test your fsh levels starting the 3rd day of your cycle.

    Good luck!

Thanks CSS. I'll look up what those different tests are and thanks RStrasburg for the link for the forms. I'll be paying quite a bit for just the consultation which doesn't include any tests or anything else so I don't want to be too passive and not know what I should be asking for. Unfortunately the appointment doesn't fall on the third day of my cycle. I did ask if I should see the doctor on a particular day (such as when I'm not on my period) and the secretary said it doesn't make any difference, so I appreciate the info since I can discuss these tests and see which ones I can take right away :)
