Any recommendations for good RE in Los Angeles?

I have done a couple (failed) IUIs at a clinic in Beverly Hills (RPMG) and I'm considering IVF at an HRC. I am a little put off by the poor communication at both places, but especially at HRC. At every clinic I have been to (four total), the MD has given me his phone number or at least his email. The MD has called to check up on me. At HRC, they do none of that. It's impossible to even reach a nurse. I am also looking for a place sensitive to single mothers. Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations?

  • I would try USC La Jolla, or look at Sart.org for a clinic in your area with good numbers for your age group and/or issues that you have.
I did a phone consult with many clinics trying to find a good clinic. I talked with CCRM (the best), USC La Jolla, NYU, and Colombia Women's Reproductive Clinic (in NYC). USC La Jolla has good numbers and the doctor I talked to had good advice. CCRM in Colorado is the best and has the best numbers, but I think in the end they are just solo expense and don't take many insurances so it's just hard to go there. Also, I suspect that their numbers as so great because they require everyone to do PGD testing on embryos after IVF. I ended up with sticking with a clinic near me where the doctor was cooperative and did not give up on me and finally got pregnant on my 3rd IVF after using a new donor. I think the only issue with USC La Jolla is that I heard that their lab and their clinic take different insurances, so the dr's office might take your insurance but the lab doesn't (which is a big deal for IVF).
