Lesbian Couple Needs Advice

Hello CCB Family,

My partner and I are in our twenties and looking to begin a family. We are quickly learning the terminology, facts on sperm donation and home insemination.

We want to know:
-What to do first?
-Whats better, ICI or IUI?
-Is blood type really a huge factor?
-Is it really as simple as it seems? 1) find a donor 2) buy sperm 3) get pregnant???
-Can we do all this from home?

Any information about the entire process would help us tremendously! Good or bad feedback is welcome.

    Hi, I'm 23 and in a same sex relationship. Our first move was going to my OB and getting a papsmhere, once results came back we found a fertility doctor, we called around to a few before we found one we liked. At first my Dr wanted to see if I ovulate on my own so we went in after AF for an ultrasound. We picked IUI for dr help. Knowing exactly when I'm fully ovulating and having help with meds if need be. I would test to see if you are cmv negative or positive then go from there with a donor. I was told since I'm cmv negative, if I chose a donor that's positive, the baby and or myself could get really sick. My first iui ending up in an early miscarriage, going for 2nd iui in a few weeks. The procedure for myself went very quickly and smoothly. Just a small cramping during the insemination.
