New to this - Trying to choose between 12154, 12144, 12343 and 12209

I'm single and 39 and don't have "forever" to make this decision. Trying to figure out how in the world I should choose?

I'd appreciate any suggestions or practical advice on selection, or the donors listed above.

Thank you in advance for any thoughts you can share.

  • Hi .. i'm single and 41 .. doing this solo as well. I wish there was an easy way to make a selection. It really is a lot of work that comes down to what is important to you and a process of elimination. Personally, the medical histoy was very important to me, therefore, some of the donors that I really liked didn't make the cut based on medical history (I have two siblings who have had cancer so I didn't want anyone with cancer in their family). Second, I wanted an open donor...so that eliminated a few more. Third, I wanted a donor who could write a complete sentence. Sounds stupid but there are so many that give one word answers. Helloooo!! This is important stuff. Show me that you are articulate. LOL. Just give yourself time and be patient. Good Luck!!

Also, I am not sure if you have been told by any of the single ladies on here but we have a very private Facebook group of Single Moms and Singles Trying to Conceive... there are about 49 of us on there. We are a very good about sharing our experiences and brining up good questions to ask out doctors. I would say the average age is 30-43 years old. I think you would find the group very helpful... If you are interestd in joining the group do a search of the creator of the group... Gentry Benjamin. Send her a friend request and she will add you to the group. :)
  • I'd have to agree with baby&me about the health history. Those are important facts and, when you combine a prospective donor's health history with your own, even things like acne make a difference.

While I personally have yet to decide about the open donor factor, it is a very significant piece of the equation to take into account.

    That Facebook group sounds great!
  • I went with 12154. Thanks ladies-I will definitely look at the FB group too!
  • I'm also considering 12154. Any chance you have info to share?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Has anyone gotten pregnant with 12154? We're trying to decide between 12154 & 12313. Did anyone buy the information?

    Good luck everyone!
  • Does anyone have the full profile they could share for donor 12154?

  • We chose 12154 and our little one just had his first birthday. He's an absolute LOVE and we are so happy to have gone through this process. :)
