Can you please email me when more vials are available?

Thank you.

  • Hi AA -

Donor 13286 is retired and will not have any more vial releases. There is an extremely slim chance that we will get any buyback vials. You can contact Client Services and asked to be put on the notification list for him, but unless you already have a child by this donor, it would be in your best interest to choose a different donor with vials that are readily available.

  • But he's so new! How can he be retired?

  • Since this donor has no reported pregnancies did he just decide to opt out of the program? Was there a problem with the sperm? I did use him in one cycle with a negative, so I'm just curious as to why he is retired. When we ordered our vial over the phone initially we were told he would have more vials released in March. Can you please address these concerns?

    Thanks so much.
  • Hi Paris -

It's not unusual for new donors to be retired.

On the donor profile you'll see a date of when the donor filled out the profile. The donor's vials usually aren't released for sale until about a year after that date. The process of collecting vials, donor testing, and quarantine is lengthy and since most donors are in our program for about a year, by the time the vials are released for sale, the donor is no longer donating.

In this case, Donor 13286 donated infrequently and sold out of vials quickly.

We encourage clients that only want to use one particular donor to store vials for future cycles and/or future siblings. Our Family Today/Family Tomorrow programs provide free storage and we also offer a 50% buy back program to help with your journey to parenthood.

    Regards,
