I realize that 11436 is no longer available through CCB. What's the best forum to post/search for people who may possibly have extra vials from this donor and might be willing to sell? How would that process even be orchestrated? Thanks.

You can contact lallen@cryobank.com to be added to the waiting list for stored vials that are sold back or abandoned by other clients.

If this is for a sibling pregnancy, you can also contact our Donor Department about a possible reactivation of the donor. This is an expensive process and could take as long as 1 year for vials to become available (if the donor is willing).

In general, we discourage any third party sale of vials since it makes it difficult for us to keep track of pregnancies and properly notify all families should there be an important medical update on the donor.

Hi, Scott. I wanted to let you know that things turned out well for me - we got one more vial of 11436! However, this was due to my own persistance, and not the help of CCB. I registered for the waiting list as you suggested. However, I kept tabs on 11436 and called often to check availability. It was on one of these calls that I found out that one vial was available, and I purchased it immediately. I never received an email or phone call regarding the waiting list, despite the obvious availability. The waiting list service is nice in theory, but it seems like it needs to be better maintained. Regardless, I'm happy to have another chance for a sibling for my daughter.
