12023

Can you tell me how many confirmed pregnancies there are for this donor? Do you have this information by ICI or IUI?

Thanks.

  • Hi Lycan -

We have more than 5 reported pregnanices for Donor 12023.

If you are considering an at-home insemination versus an IUI in your physicians office, the IUI odds of success are significantly better. Other than that, there is no statistical difference relative to vial type.

    Good luck,

  • Scott,
Are there any reported miscarriages for 12023?
  • Hi anna -

Spontanious miscarriages occur in approximately 20-25% of all pregnancies (natural or insemination). It is an unfortunate reality of the process.

Interestingly, once a pregnancy occurs, the sperm has basically nothing to do with the continued development of the embryo. Other than chromosomal abnormalities (which our donors are screened for), virtually all miscarriages occur as a result of an egg or uterine issue.

Basically, since the sperm has virtually nothing to do with the pregnancy once the DNA is delivered to the egg, any donor (regardless of past history) is equally as likely or unlikey to be a part of a miscarriage.

The more pregnancies any donor contibutes to, the more miscarriages there are likely to be. TRherefore, because it is scientifically irrelevant and can be a very misleading statistic, we do not post specific information on losses by donor.

    Regards,

  • I had a baby by this donor in August 2011. Only had to do two IUI inseminations. However, every woman and body is different and the doctors that inseminate play a role as well.
