Hi everyone! I am just wondering if anyone knows of some good online support groups/message boards for those of us doing this alone. The pregancy "basics" are the same whether or not you are married/partnered, but going it alone leaves us with some definite issues/concerns that are different.
Any insight and suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks!

This right here is a huge support group. I come on here every day and it helps me in one way or another.
You can also go to whattoexpect.com, I haven't participated in any of the chats here but have read what others say.
I also really like the facebook CCB Friends. This is a wonderful place.... I've met so many great people going through exactly what we are going through. You should definetly try that.
Good luck to you!
Baby dust to all!
I'm single, no partner, 43, I want to be a mom but my age worries me, anyone else in the same situation or have any comments.
it says the content is limited to the public which is good but my desire to try to have a baby as a SF is something I have not shared with too many people yet.
Can anyone comment on the privacy of the group and how somene may try to ask to join the group by falsifying their status. I know this may sound paranoid but...hope you can understand.
thanks
I really need to find some emotional support. I have tried two IUI's with no success. I was put on chlomid (not sure of spelling) last Jan and it did not help. I just went on Thurs. to a fertility specialist. I feel pretty discouraged. Based on the literature I got from them I have about a 64% chance of not conceiving. I have never been married and I thought I would have gotten married in my late 20's or early 30's and have at least two children by my age. I am to have a hysterosalpingography soon. I thought b/c my regular obgyn did not order these test I was ok as far as tubes being open. I feel so lost in this process and not sure what to ask...any advice or encouraging words would be greatly appreciated.
I can relate to everything you wrote, thinking I would have been married, with kids by now but no.....
the HSG is normal testing procedures that RE's do, I think, could be wrong, but the HSG should of been done before the IUI. I had my 1st IUI last Friday, so I'm gonna do my tww and wait til the dtr does a pregnancy test. I was told by my 1st RE that my chances were slim but my 2nd RE was more positive, A good dtr will allow you to ask q's and question what is recommended and give you a choice and respect you.
I also am looking for emotional support, trying to find a local single mom's group or something,
As I try to say to myself, stay positive, and calm and one day at a time! I actually could be pregnant!
