Donor 17877

Anyone have pregnancies with donor 17877?

Comments

  • I had 5 iuis with femara . 2 failed pregnancies with donor 17877. First one ended in chemical pregnancy and second pregnancy was a miscarriage during my 10 week ultrasound. The fetus stopped growing around 8 weeks and 3 days. Unfortunately , there was no heartbeat . My clinic will be doing genetic testing on the fetus to see reasons why I had two miscarriages in a row.

  • I’m so sorry to hear that. I haven’t seen anyone post any successful pregnancies with this donor. I bought some viles for this donor, but I’m starting to think I should look for a different donor.

  • When I asked CCB @californiacryobank about this donor they said he had “well over 5 reported pregnancies” and “under 5 reported births” but they said that often people report pregnancies and not births. I would also really like to understand if anyone had a healthy pregnancy with this donor.

  • They did genetic testing on the embryo at OHSU and it had triploidy (96 chromosomes instead of 46). My fertility doctor and lab embryologist concur that the morphology and quality of sperm from this donor is not great.

  • They said my egg quality is robust (AMH levels) and my fertility doctor believes my miscarriages are from the poor quality of sperm.

  • @Panda7877 thank you so much for sharing. We were about to use this donor and now will not.

  • Sorry I meant 69 chromosomes not 96. Good luck with choosing a donor. I wish you the best !

  • @Panda7877 i really can’t thank you enough, your timing potentially saved us quite a bit of heartache.

  • Did you have a hard time getting reimbursed for the vials through CCB?

  • We aren’t able to get reimbursed because we purchased a vial as a transfer from someone else.
