Advice-Home Insemination

Hi y'all..does anyone have any advice/experience with doing an ICI at home. My partner and I have tried 4 attempts at the RE's office and feel like the timing was off for a couple of them. We have decided to try it a home a couple more times before calling it quits, at least for me trying to concieve. I've read that I need to buy a speculum, catheter, needless syringe (what size?) and that's pretty much it, I think. OH and well obviously the sperm. We're nervous about the thawing processs and doing the inseminsation correctly. I hope we don't mess it up. I'm not sure if the catheter goes in the cervix opening or just around it? I've read both. Also what is some of your best results with timing after a positive OPK?

If anyone can give us any help, we would really appreciate it.
