Family Limit

Hi Scott,

Just wondering if there is a max to how many families can purchase a certain donor? Also, wanted to see what you have on record for pregnancies and births for donor 5575. He is retired and most of us are in contact with one another (we think). We are currently at 19 families and 25 kids and just thought we would compare numbers.

Thanks!

  • Hi Jala -

Thanks for the information. Our maximum goal is 25-30 families worldwide per donor. The overall average is closer to about 12 families.

Your numbers are actually higher than our files. Please encourage everyone you are in contact with to make sure to fill out birth reports all their children.

    Happy holidays,

  • Thanks Scott will do!
  • What do the donors know in terms of birth and sex of the children? Are they given the same info we receive here on the boards? or they banned from any info we see here on the boards? Just curious
  • Hi buck -

Few donors inquire about offspring, especially since they are usually retired from donating long before we have any birth reports. If they do ask, we give them the same information we provide to our clients.

These message baords are public, so donors are free to them just like anyone else.

  • Scott -

"If they do ask, we give them the same information we provide to our clients." What information do you provide to your clients? I am not too savvy on how to access all the information you provide to your clients, so I would greatly appreciate some illumination.

    Thanks so much,

  • Hi MN -

    Welcome to the "Family".

Upon request we provide whether a donor has had "zero, more, or less than 5 reported births and/or pregnancies"

The donor's card includes whether or not the donor has had a reported pregnancy, although this is actually irrelevant since all our donors go through the same screening process and have outstanding quality sperm.

All our donors (who do not leave the program early) eventually have pregnancies and births reported. It is just a matter of how long they are available and how popular they are.

  • Thanks so much for the response. I was more concerned that a donor may be able to obtain information about women who have reported pregnancies.

  • Absolutely not. We never supply any contact information to a donor or contact a family on behalf of a donor.
