Stats on donor #12874

Hi,

Can you tell me how many reported pregnancies there are for donor #12874?

I have had 2 IUIS so far with no luck and my follicles and timing were perfect.

The sperm count after washing was low . . . I am going to find out what the sperm count was before washing to make sure it meets the 10 million minimum for ICIs. I understand that I can be refunded if it was lower than 10 million.

This information would be very helpful as I am considering switching donors for my upcoming IUI #3, especially if this donor has not had many pregnancies.

Hi Katie -

Donor 12874 has 5 or more reported pregnancies.

Please keep in mind that on average, it takes 3-4 IUIs to achieve pregnancy. Also, another woman's insemination outcome has no bearing on your chances of becoming pregnant. Type of insemination, maternal age, and use of fertility drugs are just some of the different variables involved. The number of reported pregnancies are most often linked to the length of time a donor has been available and/or the popularity of his characteristics.

For ICI vials, we guarantee a minimum count of 15 million motile sperm after thawing. If your physician or lab tech encountered a substandard vial, you can ask him/her to complete a specimen report form and fax it to us so that we can review it. Thank you Nicole.

I chose a new donor for my 3rd insemination.

And I will find out what the motile sperm count was for my first 2 cycles of IUIs after thawing and if needed, have them fill out the report and fax it to you.
