Plus size ivf

I dont want this to be rude but has anyone had a baby and have a plus size BMI? My doctor is saying lose weight but Im not sure if he’s being nice and not really saying the amount or not but I feel like im post pone my IVF because Im chubby 😕

    They base it on you BMI. Most clinics want you to be below 40 BMI. I’m at 36 and was successful with IVF

    @Babykisses I started the process at 260, but on my own lost 12lbs before my first IUI. So, at 5'5" that put me at a BMI of 41.3. I was successful with my second IUI, and am currently holding my 4 1/2 month old baby. There's a FB group: Plus Size Mommies: Pregnancy and Beyond that you can join. I joined when I was TTC.     This is encouraging as my obgyn just referred me to a weight loss specialist. Saying that it would give me a better chance. If you don't mind me asking what was you end weight after loosing the 12 lbs and then having success @Maggiej13 I know I need to loose some to prevent complications I'm at 230 right now.

    @Futuremom84 I started off at 260lbs and lost 12lbs. When I conceived, I was 248lbs at 5'5". BMI of 41.3
