Breastfeeding for the non-carrying partner

My partner will be the one carrying, however, I want to be able to breastfeed. Has anyone here done this? Our doctor told us that it is possible and we should see a lactating consultant. I wanted to see if anyone has actually done it and if it was successful. I breastfed my first two (which I did carry).

    Hi, I am wondering how everything turned out. I am a lactation counselor and know that it is possible, but have never supported a family through the process.
